The Quiet Core Toolkit

A small set of honest, gentle tools from Quiet Core Reset. No sign-up required to use them. Ten minutes here can tell you more about your energy than months of pushing through.

1. The 90-second energy check

For the middle of a day you can't stop. Land: feet flat on the floor, one slow breath, exhale longer than the inhale. Ask the book's three questions. Then give one thing back.

2. The 1–10 energy scale

One number, honestly given. The catch: no rounding up because you feel you "should" be doing better. The gauge only helps if you read it straight.

1 - completely drained  ·  5 - getting by  ·  10 - vibrant, present, fully alive

3. The gives & drains lists

Five minutes, two columns, no censoring. You can't protect energy you haven't named. Check what's true this week - some items may belong on both lists, and that's allowed.

Gives energy

Drains energy

Notice what's on your drains list voluntarily. Those are the leaks you can close this week.

4. The energy bank account

The book's one-minute balance check. Answer honestly - most readers discover they've been living on the third option.

5. The First Honest Assessment

The book's opening exercise, condensed. Give it ten to fifteen quiet minutes, a notebook, and two rules: radical honesty, and kindness. This is not a diagnosis - it's a picture of what carrying too much for too long actually does.

  1. On a scale from 1 to 10, how energized do you feel on an average day right now? (1 = completely drained, 10 = vibrant, present, fully alive - no rounding up.)
  2. What percentage of your day runs on autopilot - and how often does "I just need to get through this" run through your head?
  3. Make two lists, no censoring: what gives you energy, and what drains it - tasks, people, scrolling, meetings, time alone.
  4. When did you last feel real joy or peace for more than a few minutes? What was it, and what would it take to do it again?
  5. What signals has your body sent in the last three to six months - sleep, tension, brain fog, flat emotions, frequent small illnesses?
  6. If your energy were a bank account, what would the balance feel like: deeply in the red, barely in the black, or living off credit?
  7. What are you afraid would happen if you stopped pushing and actually listened to how exhausted you are?

When you're done, say this out loud:

"I am currently functioning at ___% of my real capacity, and I've been ignoring it because ________."

Most people feel a strange mix of relief and sadness. Both are normal. Both are information.

6. Micro-resets for a real day

Recovery that survives a busy week attaches itself to triggers the day already contains. Pick one from each row and keep only those this week.

One anchor held beats five abandoned. If the week collapses, keep exactly one.

7. The monthly maintenance check

A reset is not a one-time event; it's maintenance and gentle protection. Once a month, or whenever something feels off, ask:

Every tool on this page is one page of a bigger, gentler system.Quiet Core Reset walks through all of it - at your pace, without quitting your life.
